This vintage tennis skirt from the Attic in Columbus, MS is one of my best finds. The fabric is light and breezy, the pleats are permanent, and there is an adorable row of buttons down the length of the skirt. So what if it was originally intended for playing tennis?

Mixing prints can be quite the challenge. It's a fine line between chic and tacky skate night. But you can make prints work together. It's always best to let one print take precedence over the other. Never wear two insanely busy prints. One should be simple and the other more complicated. The key to making this look work is coordinating the colors in the patterns.

The Scary Skirt

Here it is, the infamous "scary" skirt in all of its 1950's taffeta glory. Let me just say that I LOVE this skirt. However, it is a statement piece. If you want to wear a skirt such as this you kinda have to pair it with simpler pieces to make sure that you don't come off as costumey. I chose this skirt in a neutral color to make it wearable for everyday and I paired with a simple shirt and some casual cute wedges.
